MILWAUKEE – (July 29, 2011) – The Coleman® brand of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) products from Johnson Controls, the global leader in delivering solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, introduces three new Coleman Echelon™ central dehumidifiers. Available in 65-, 90- and 135-pint capacities, the newest additions to the line of Coleman indoor air quality (IAQ) products enable homeowners to raise their thermostat by several degrees, reducing annual cooling costs by as much as 18 percent while increasing comfort.
The smallest of the three units, with a 65-pint-per-day capacity, can be installed in tight closets, making it the perfect choice for condominium complexes. Depending on the geographic location and energy-efficient construction of the home, the unit can also handle homes as large as 3,600 square feet.
The mid-range 90-pint unit has the ability to provide service to homes as large as 5,000 square feet, with a design that favors installation in basements, crawlspaces or attics. Built-in ventilation technology and fan-cycling features equip the unit to deliver improved air circulation and better mixing of the dehumidified air throughout a home.
The largest of the three units is designed for homes up to 7,400 square feet, removing as much as 135 pints of moisture per day.
In addition to improved comfort and reduced cooling costs, the use of Coleman Echelon central dehumidifiers protects against the spread of mold and other allergens. Reducing humidity levels also helps to preserve furnishings.
All three of the new central dehumidifiers integrate with Coleman’s Total Comfort System™ approach to IAQ. To learn more, visit the Coleman HVAC website at www.colemanhvacdealer.com.
